Why should people change?

Most employees are sensitive to the culture and values of the workplace. If they are to change the way they work, they must be convinced that the effort will be recognised and rewarded. There are many ways to reward employees through:

  • leadership responsibility
  • enhancing skills
  • appraisal reviews
  • qualifications
  • peer recognition
  • bonuses
  • creation of new roles
  • promotion
  • keeping the job
  • job enhancement
  • expectation (the new behaviours are normal and expected)
